United Hockey Camp 2026

The Coubertin meets Dunant Foundation is organizing a United Ice Hockey Camp from May 17 to May 23, 2026. As a flagship project for integration, equality, and talent development, our camp brings together young ice hockey players from different nations. Embedded within the IIHF World Championship 2026, it creates a space for connection, solidarity, and future opportunities.

Stronger together – on and off the ice

The United Ice Hockey Camp brings together young ice hockey players from various countries – including youth with refugee backgrounds as well as emerging talents from Switzerland, Germany, and beyond.
As part of the UNITED Youth Athlete Program, the camp promotes integration, diversity, and empowerment in ice hockey. It fosters friendships, opens new perspectives, and builds an international network that extends far beyond the sport.
Ice hockey connects cultures – and strengthens young talents on and off the ice.

Strengthening resources and creating opportunities through ice hockey

The third United Camp is entirely dedicated to ice hockey. Taking place during the World Championship in Switzerland, we are proud to host this year’s camp for the first time in partnership with an international federation (IIHF).
Young players from diverse cultural and national backgrounds come together to train on and off the ice, exchange experiences, and experience the unifying power of sport.
Participants can expect an intensive week featuring daily on- and off-ice training sessions, complemented by “Be Kind” activities and encounters with inspiring personalities. A panel discussion will open new perspectives beyond sport, while shared activities and game visits during the IIHF World Championship will strengthen team spirit and create unforgettable experiences.
The highlight of the week is the public charity game – a powerful symbol of diversity, unity, and social engagement.

Be Kind Activities

“Be Kind” sessions are integrated short and extended modules within the camp that, alongside training, specifically promote integration, personal growth, and interaction between young athletes from different cultures – thereby strengthening a global identity: the ability to understand oneself and to engage with others openly and respectfully.
Through short impulses, exchange, playful challenges, and moments of reflection, these sessions foster understanding and connection, reduce prejudice, and create a space for open and respectful encounters – also beyond the ice rink.

At the center lies the question: Who are you – and how do you treat others?
