For the first time, with a world governing body as partner, the UNITED Hockey Camp of the Coubertin meets Dunant Foundation brings together international young talents, top clubs and refugee players for a unique week of sport, integration and empowerment as part of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.

United Summer Camp 2025: Hope, Football, and the Dream of Freedom
They were national team players, role models, and sources of hope for many young women in Afghanistan – until they were forced to flee. Today, they live scattered across Europe. But football still gives them strength, identity, and hope. From June 10 to 15, 2025, they will reunite in Zurich – at the United Summer Camp hosted by the Coubertin meets Dunant Foundation.

Integration Through Ice Hockey
Kreuzlingen, January 9, 2025 – SRF Schweiz Aktuell – In April 2022, Swiss television first reported on the arrival of numerous young Ukrainian athletes who had to flee their homeland due to the war. Among them was Nikita Kazantsev, one of over 40 ice hockey talents who found a new home at the Talent-Campus Bodensee in Switzerland. Three years after their dramatic escape, Kazantsev and his teammates face new challenges—not only on the ice but also in their daily lives.
A Goosebump Moment for History
According to Reto Ammann, the President of the Foundation Board of the "Coubertin meets Dunant Foundation," a "Talent Refugee Olympic Team" will take the stage at the Winter Olympics 2038 in Switzerland at the latest.
United Summer Camp 2024
"Peace Beyond Limits" is the motto of this year's United Summer Camp organised by the Coubertin meets Dunant Foundation. By sharing their passion for sport, young athletes from Afghanistan, Iran, China and South Korea will be brought together to overcome their cultural differences and find a unifying language through sport.
