We have found Nikita to be an exceptionally kind, considerate, and conscientious person. He is a role model in dealing with difficult situations and an exemplary human being. Nikita has been living in Switzerland since 10 March 2022. Due to the war in Ukraine, he was forced to leave his home country and, in 2022, was accepted into the Talent Campus in Kreuzlingen as one of 43 Ukrainian sporting talents.The Refugee Elite Athlete Programme, launched in the same year as part of the pilot project Coubertin meets Dunant, gave him and other young athletes the opportunity to continue their sporting careers and build a new life in Switzerland.
